As the Engine Company was clearing a medical local on the far side of the first due a box alarm was transmitted for a residential fire at 14 Marshall Place in Ferry Farms. Engine and Chief 1 responded on the run with 6 volunteers. While responding the Stafford E.C.C had multiple reports of a garage to the rear of this residence was fully involved. Rescue Engine 7 was first to arrive and laid a supply line from Wakefield Drive and Marshall Place. They then reported fire showing from a garage to the rear of this residence. Engine 1 arrived seconds later and picked up the water supply for Rescue Engine 7. The crew from Engine 1 advanced a second handline through the door to begin extinguishment. Chief 1 then established the "Marshall Place Command" and assigned the officer from Engine 1 as the Attack Group Supervisor. Once Engine 1 knocked down the bulk of the fire command scaled back the assignment. Quint 12 and Rescue Engine 7 assisted with overhaul operations after the investigation was complete. Units operated on scene for approximately two hours before returning to service.
