Engine Company Extricates One

At 0630 hours the Engine Company was alerted for an minor auto accident in the area of Warrenton Road and Washington Street. Engine 1 was first to arrive to find a two vehicle T-Bone collision. Engine 1 quickly found that one occupant was trapped and upgraded the assignment. Engine 1 then stabilized the vehicle and completed a side removal with a Combination tool. Once the assignment was upgraded the extrication took approximately six minutes to be completed. Medic 11 packaged the patient and transported to Mary Washington Hospital with BLS injuries. The assignment was quickly scaled back to Company 1 units.
